Later the same day, he wrote: “You can shove endless lies in our ears, but you can’t shove one in our eyes.

On January 28, 2026, Swalwell addressed an incident involving Rep. Ilhan Omar: “Thank god my colleague, @IlhanMN, is OK after tonight’s attack. With her constituents hurting, she did her job by showing up in person and being accountable to them. And she was attacked for it. EVERY GOP member must condemn this. https://t.co/qM9GgvQGg2”.
Eric Swalwell has served as the representative for California’s 14th District since replacing Pete Stark in Congress in 2013. Born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently residing in Livermore, Swalwell holds degrees from the University of Maryland—earning a BA from College Park in 2003 and a JD from Baltimore in 2006.
