Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, recently posted a series of statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account addressing political and immigration issues.
On February 7, 2026, Swalwell wrote: “Welcome to the big leagues kid”.
A few days later, on February 10, 2026, he commented on remarks by ICE Director Todd Lyons with the post: “ICE Director Todd Lyons said he wanted a deportation process like ‘Amazon Prime,’ but with human beings. When was the last time Amazon killed a mom and a nurse?”
Later that same day, Swalwell addressed Representative Kevin Kiley in another tweet: “Trust me, @KevinKileyCA will fold.”
Swalwell has represented California’s 14th District in Congress since replacing Pete Stark in 2013. He was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore. Swalwell earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003 and his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
