Rep. Eric Swalwell, who has represented California’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2013, posted a series of tweets on October 15, 2025, addressing immigration enforcement, political rhetoric, and national cybersecurity concerns.
In a tweet posted at 19:13 UTC, Swalwell called for changes to immigration enforcement practices: “RT if you agree in a Democratic majority the ICE masks must come off and the name tags go on. The days of terrorizing women and children must end.”
Later that evening, at 21:52 UTC, he commented on political discourse involving Senator J.D. Vance: “Did anyone have @JDVance defending “I Love Hitler” texts on their Bingo cards today?”
At 22:06 UTC, Swalwell addressed cybersecurity policy and the Trump Administration’s actions: “At a time when our country is facing unprecedented cyber threats from hostile foreign actors and criminal ransomware attacks, it is indefensible that the Trump Administration is gutting our frontline cyber defense agency. Cybersecurity isn’t a partisan issue. It’s national”
