Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, has made several statements through social media that have attracted public attention. His tweets address various issues ranging from political accusations to historical commemorations.

On June 6, 2025, Swalwell addressed allegations involving former President Donald Trump. He stated that “Trump’s most senior advisor has accused Trump of being involved with America’s worst child predator. *And says Trump has covered up his own ties.” He emphasized the commitment of House Judiciary Democrats to investigate whether Trump is influencing the Department of Justice in relation to these accusations.

Later on the same day, Swalwell marked an important historical event by noting “Today marks the 81st anniversary of #DDay, a historic day when hundreds of thousands stormed the beaches of Normandy to overcome fascism and the Nazi regime.” He highlighted the significance of this event in shaping a world committed to democracy and freedom.

In another tweet posted on June 6, he expressed strong criticism towards certain individuals by stating “They’re not just mean… They’re fucking morons” while referring to an incident involving a Sikh visiting chaplain.

Eric Swalwell was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in 2003 and obtained his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
