On March 31, 2025, Swalwell voiced his concerns over potential cuts to veterans’ mental health services, emphasizing, “Over 14,600 veterans call CA-14 home. Gutting the mental health services they rely on is a disrespectful joke. I’ll keep fighting any cuts that put our veterans’ health at risk.”

Later that day, Swalwell criticized the motives behind an impeachment resolution, arguing in a tweet from April 1, 2025, “We’ve spent hours in a hearing over an impeachment resolution brought by a guy who didn’t even bother to show up. Not one witness supports it. Not one Republican defended it.” Swalwell characterized the resolution as a political maneuver lacking substantive support.
