Representative Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, posted a series of tweets on August 11, 2025, expressing strong opinions regarding alleged political scandals and questioning the actions of the sitting president.

In his first tweet at 13:16 UTC, Swalwell wrote: “Epstein is the BIGGEST political scandal in my lifetime. The president of the United States is connected to the most notorious child-sex-trafficker ever AND is covering up his own involvement. Tell me what’s bigger than THAT?”

Approximately twenty minutes later, at 13:36 UTC, he posted another message stating: “Is he leaving? https://t.co/e2nigRkEN4”

Later that afternoon at 15:08 UTC, Swalwell added: “He’s going to Russia? This doddering old man has no idea where he is or what he’s talking about. https://t.co/3DEF1diwsG”

Eric Swalwell has represented California’s 14th District in Congress since replacing Pete Stark in 2013. He was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore. Swalwell holds a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park (2003) and earned his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2006).

The tweets reflect ongoing public discourse concerning high-profile criminal cases and political accountability within American government.
