Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, posted several remarks on his social media accounts between February 5 and February 7, 2026, addressing topics ranging from airport experiences to broader democratic principles.
On February 5, Swalwell commented on conditions at a major airport: “Just when you thought Dulles couldn’t get any worse”.
The following day, he shared his perspective on democracy by stating: “One of democracy’s greatest assets”.
On February 7, Swalwell responded to commentary by Stephen A., writing: “Stephen A is absolutely right. It’s despicable. And if you can’t condemn this, what will you ever condemn?”
Eric Swalwell has been serving in Congress since succeeding Pete Stark in 2013. He was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore. Swalwell graduated with a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003 and earned his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
