In one post at 19:39 UTC, Swalwell wrote, “But you can’t prove me wrong”. Later that evening at 20:02 UTC, he followed up with another message: “You were Speaker?”. At 21:25 UTC the same day, Swalwell stated, “Donald Trump is the person most responsible for January 6 — he caused what happened.”
Eric Swalwell has served in Congress since defeating Pete Stark in 2013 and currently represents California’s 14th district. Born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and now residing in Livermore, Swalwell holds degrees from the University of Maryland—earning a BA in 2003 and a JD in 2006.
