Representative Eric Swalwell, a Democratic member of Congress for California’s 14th district, posted several tweets on November 4, 2025, addressing issues related to antisemitism within the Republican Party and commenting on specific public figures.

On November 4, 2025, Swalwell wrote, “The Republican Party has an Antisemitism problem. And @JDVance won’t say shit to condemn it. He doesn’t have the balls to push back against Tucker Carlson.” Later that day, he added in another tweet, “Dude who dined with Nick Fuentes and pals around with Tucker Carlson has thoughts on how Jewish people should vote.” In a third post at 17:30 UTC on the same day, Swalwell stated simply: “Today is the day!”

Eric Swalwell has served as a U.S. Representative since 2013 after succeeding Pete Stark. He was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore. Swalwell earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003 and later received his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
