Rep. Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 14th district since 2013, has been vocal on social media regarding various issues. Swalwell, born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently residing in Livermore, has used his platform to address topics ranging from personal confrontations to broader policy critiques.

On June 11, 2025, Swalwell questioned the identity of an individual with whom he appeared to have a dispute. He tweeted: “Does anyone know who this annoying woman is?” This post was made at 03:44:16 UTC.

Later that day at 04:24:09 UTC, Swalwell addressed someone named Alina in a more direct manner. He asserted: “Let me start where this will end: you will lose, Alina. This will be dismissed or a not guilty at trial. You will be publicly humiliated and forever tied to this abuse of power.” He also indicated that records should be kept for an upcoming Judiciary Committee session.

In another tweet posted on June 11 at 18:18:42 UTC, Swalwell criticized current immigration policies by highlighting the conditions faced by military personnel and others affected by deportation measures. He stated: “Our troops aren’t on the battlefield — they’re sleeping in squalor in Los Angeles.” He called for a change by saying that $134 million had been wasted and described the situation as “cruelty.”

Eric Swalwell graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in 2003 and earned his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
