Rep. Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 14th district since 2013, posted a series of tweets on November 19 and 20, 2025, expressing frustration with law enforcement’s response to threats against his family and Democratic colleagues.
On November 19, Swalwell tweeted: “Daddy is going to be pissed! https://t.co/7F7GdcgHGR”.
The following day, he wrote: “Spare me the bullshit. I don’t need you to reach out. Go arrest the monsters threatening my kids. Which you REFUSE to do. But when a MAGA supporter is threatened you’re Johnny-on-the-Spot.
Kash’s girlfriend has better protection than any Democrat in Congress. You want us dead. https://t.co/DX3H0ucr2f” (November 20, 2025).
Shortly after, Swalwell added: “‘No threats to Swalwell’ — what are you doing about this? https://t.co/JmOLoAg4YA” (November 20, 2025).
Eric Swalwell has served as the representative for California’s 14th district since succeeding Pete Stark in 2013. Born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently residing in Livermore, Swalwell holds degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park (BA) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (JD).
