Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, posted a series of tweets on August 5, 2025, addressing fellow lawmaker Ted Cruz and sharing links without additional commentary.

Eric Swalwell has represented California’s 14th District in Congress since succeeding Pete Stark in 2013. Born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980, Swalwell is currently 42 years old and resides in Livermore. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park (2003), and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2006).
