Rep. Eric Swalwell, who has represented California’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2013, posted a series of tweets on January 9, 2026, addressing issues related to law enforcement and aging political figures.

In his first post at 01:13 UTC, Swalwell directly addressed attorneys general and district attorneys nationwide, writing: “To every Attorney General and DA: This. Is. How. You. Fucking. Do. It. Got it? @DA_LarryKrasner https://t.co/JLl0AzaEj2”.

Later that morning at 03:12 UTC, he commented on an unnamed individual’s age and behavior: “Because he’s an almost 80-year-old bully. He’s not getting wiser. He’s getting worse. https://t.co/CZrwBx6Bqg”.

By the evening of January 9, Swalwell added another post stating: “We need to talk about grandpa https://t.co/uvq8Jn8bv5”.

Eric Swalwell was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore, California. He holds a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park (2003) and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2006). Swalwell succeeded Pete Stark as representative for California’s 14th congressional district when he took office in 2013.
