Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, published several statements on his social media account in early November 2025 addressing political developments and making pointed accusations.

On November 2, Swalwell posted a brief message stating, “Liar. And you’re all protecting a pedophile. So there’s that.” The same day, he followed up with another post reading, “Concepts of a plan!”

The following day, on November 3, Swalwell commented on internal Republican Party dynamics in the Senate: “Thune defying Trump’s order to nuke the filibuster shows how weak Trump has become. He chickens out on tariffs and now is getting rolled by his own Senate.”

Eric Swalwell succeeded Pete Stark in Congress and has held office for over a decade. Born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently residing in Livermore, Swalwell earned both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Maryland by 2006.
