Rep. Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 14th district since 2013, posted a series of tweets on October 16, 2025, addressing various issues and incidents related to Congress and fellow lawmakers.
In one tweet, Swalwell directly questioned another individual, writing, “Where’s the money, Tom?” (October 16, 2025). Later that day, he referenced former Congressman Adam Kinzinger in a lighthearted tone: “Ummmm @AdamKinzinger, are you impersonating me again? I thought we talked about this!” (October 16, 2025).
Swalwell also raised concerns about an incident within the Capitol complex, stating, “A swastika-modified U.S. flag. Hanging behind a congressional staffer. In the Cannon Building. This isn’t some distant warning sign—it’s here, in the heart of our democracy. Absolutely chilling.” (October 16, 2025).
Swalwell, who was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore, has been an active member of Congress for over a decade. He succeeded Pete Stark in representing California’s 14th district. Swalwell holds a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park (2003) and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2006).
