On June 5, 2025, Swalwell commented on J.D. Vance’s stance towards defending former President Donald Trump against Elon Musk. He stated: “Absolutely telling that @JDVance taking a walk on defending @realDonaldTrump against Elon.”
Later that day, Swalwell directed followers to read his statement concerning Trump’s new travel ban with the tweet: “Read my statement on Trump’s New Travel Ban.”
In another post made on June 6, 2025, Swalwell questioned J.D. Vance’s reluctance to confront Elon Musk directly and addressed Donald Trump Jr., asking: “Wow. JD won’t hit back against Elon. @DonaldJTrumpJr, you OK with this? JD is hedging.”
Eric Swalwell was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and resides in Livermore. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in 2003 and earned his JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
