Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 14th district since 2013, has recently expressed concerns on social media regarding former President Donald Trump and his handling of certain sensitive files. Swalwell, who was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore, took to Twitter to voice these issues.
On May 13, 2025, Swalwell questioned the former president’s commitment to transparency regarding the Epstein Files. He tweeted: “Remember when Trump promised the FULL release of the Epstein Files? Why do you think he’s hiding them from you? How long will his supporters tolerate this secrecy. What is he hiding?”
Later that day, Swalwell shared a post with links on Twitter at 20:03 UTC without additional commentary: “https://t.co/DLdeJISecC https://t.co/Kq855j9l4G”.
The following day, on May 14, 2025, Swalwell accused Trump’s team of fabricating evidence against individuals. He stated: “Trump’s team is manufacturing evidence against individuals to justify locking them up and throwing away the keys. But we’re going to keep bringing the evidence to the light of day, and we’re not going away.”
Eric Swalwell graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in 2003 and later earned his JD from its Baltimore campus in 2006.
