Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, has recently expressed his views on various pressing issues through social media. Born in Sac City, Iowa, and currently residing in Livermore, Swalwell graduated from the University of Maryland with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor degree.

On March 24, 2025, Swalwell highlighted concerns regarding government response to natural disasters. He stated that “Families in disaster-vulnerable areas deserve more than political neglect. Americans deserve a government that shows up before, during, and after the storm.

Later that day, Swalwell addressed comments by former President Donald Trump about changes to federal agencies. He questioned Trump’s intentions with the statement: “Trump wants to fire everyone at the FBI and CIA and replace them with this?

In another post on March 24, Swalwell voiced strong opinions about national security. He called for immediate action against individuals involved in a specific incident: “Everyone on the public WAR PLANS group text should immediately lose their security clearances and be fired. Their idiocy just put a giant target on America. We are not safe.
