Rep. Eric Swalwell, who represents California’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on July 18, 2025, reflecting on his week in Washington and expressing enthusiasm about returning to California.

Swalwell has served as the congressional representative for California’s 14th District since 2013, succeeding Pete Stark. He was born in Sac City, Iowa in 1980 and currently resides in Livermore. Swalwell holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park (2003), and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006.
