CITY OF PLEASANTON: Burglary Arrest

Arest

City of Pleasanton  issued the following announcement on Dec. 23

At 5:05 a.m. on December 23rd Suspects, Joseph Salcido (d.o.b. 6/1/1974) and Hector Amparo (d.o.b. 9/18/1973) shattered a window to the Shell Gas Station convenience store located at 3790 Hopyard Rd. They entered the store and proceeded directly to a CA lottery ticket display case. One of the suspects forcibly removed the case from the counter. After removing numerous rolls of lottery tickets and several other items the suspects fled the store. By the time officers arrived at the scene the suspects were gone.

A few hours later, the Ripon Police Department contacted the Pleasanton Police Department to advise they arrested 3 subjects who were found to be in possession of stolen property related to a Pleasanton commercial burglary. They found a large amount of CA lotto tickets that they traced back to the Shell Station in Pleasanton. Follow up investigation conducted by both agencies determined the subjects arrested were directly related to the Pleasanton burglary as well as crimes committed in other jurisdictions. All three suspects were arrested on charges in San Joaquin County pending charges for this case in Alameda County. All suspects were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

Thank you to the Ripon Police Department for their proactive efforts and determination in helping solve this case and recover stolen property
