Rep. Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 14th district since 2013, has recently expressed his views on various political matters through social media. Swalwell, who succeeded Pete Stark in Congress and holds degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park and Baltimore, shared his thoughts on controversial statements and geopolitical issues.
On February 4, 2025, Rep. Swalwell questioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s comments regarding former President Donald Trump's supporters. He posted on social media: "Why did RFK Jr. call Trump’s supporters Nazis and cowards?"
The following day, February 5, 2025, Swalwell addressed rumors about U.S. military involvement abroad with skepticism. He tweeted: "Wait what? The U.S. is going to occupy Gaza? We were promised no more endless wars. By my count we are occupying Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal, and now..Gaza?"
Later that day, he posed a question about economic systems in a tweet: "Is there a word for the form of government where the government owns the means of production and distribution?"
