Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 14th district since 2013, has recently expressed concerns and aspirations through a series of tweets. Swalwell, who succeeded Pete Stark in Congress and holds degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park and Baltimore, is known for his active engagement on social media platforms.

On February 5, 2025, Swalwell voiced security concerns related to actions by former President Donald Trump. He stated that "We are not safe. Trump released 1,600 violent cop-beaters onto our streets. He’s firing thousands of FBI agents. And he’s taking the CIA off the watch for terrorism. We are not safe."

The following day, on February 6, 2025, Swalwell posed a rhetorical question regarding domestic development projects: "Why wouldn’t we want to build the 'most spectacular developments of its kind on Earth' here in the USA?"

Later that same day, he emphasized the importance of data protection with a succinct message: "Protect our data"
