Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Born in Sac City, Iowa, in 1980 and currently residing in Livermore, Swalwell has an academic background from the University of Maryland.
On June 9, 2025, Swalwell questioned former President Donald Trump’s crisis management abilities. He asked “Has there ever been a crisis managed by Donald Trump where he made it BETTER?”.
Later that day, Swalwell praised the East Bay Congressional Youth Council for their dedication to public policy and real-world issues. He tweeted “This year’s East Bay Congressional Youth Council brought together some of the brightest young minds in #CA14. They’ve spent months diving into public policy, tackling real-world issues, and today—they delivered powerful final proposals.” He expressed appreciation for the participants’ efforts and emphasized the need for such contributions.
In another tweet on June 10, 2025, Swalwell commented on Tom Homan’s actions in relation to California Governor Gavin Newsom. He stated “Homan backed down because he’s a bully. Bullies ALWAYS back down to strength. Newsom showed strength.” This was followed by advice: “Lesson: Keep standing up to these cowards.”
Eric Swalwell is recognized for his continued service since succeeding Pete Stark and remains active in addressing political and social matters through his platform.
