Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 14th district since 2013, recently shared several statements on social media addressing various political issues and personal experiences. Born in Sac City, Iowa, Swalwell has been active in politics for over a decade.

On December 10, 2024, Rep. Swalwell reflected on past investigations by the Trump administration into his communications: "In 2017, I investigated Trump and his DOJ went after my cell phone and email records. They found nothing. Trump without guardrails will be worse. That’s not going to stop me. And I don’t want it to stop you."

The following day, December 11, 2024, he made a brief remark about diversity hiring practices: "DEI hire! Anything to help Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka"

On December 12, 2024, Swalwell addressed threats of violence against him and other elected officials: "We resolve issues in America with votes not violence. This year, law enforcement investigated 125 credible deaths threats against me and my family. Other colleagues — including Republicans — had more. Now, more than ever, elected officials must condemn violence, not stoke it."
