Rep. Eric Swalwell, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 14th district, shared a series of tweets on January 21, 2025. Swalwell, who has been in office since replacing Pete Stark in 2013, commented on various topics including recent political events and personal experiences.

In a tweet posted at 01:52:34 UTC, Rep. Swalwell expressed his views on the aftermath of the January 6 events and criticized former President Donald Trump's decision to release individuals involved in the incident. He stated, "There has not been a day in America where more cops were hurt in a single event than January 6. For his first act as President, Donald Trump releases every rioter who attacked and hurt those cops. This is the Joker releasing the lunatics of the asylum to unleash all hell."

Later that morning at 05:11:47 UTC, Swalwell directed followers to check out content he was featured in by tweeting "I went ALL IN. Check it out at 33:53." This tweet included a link for further engagement.

Shortly after at 05:14:52 UTC, he tweeted about an encounter with an individual taking pictures of him during an event. He remarked on their perceived lack of influence with "Who is this weirdo taking pictures of me? And damn he must have no influence if he’s sitting with me! My candidate didn’t win. How the hell did this loser end up in my section?"
