Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 14th district since 2013, has recently shared several statements on social media. Swalwell, who succeeded Pete Stark in Congress and resides in Livermore, was born in Sac City, Iowa. He holds degrees from the University of Maryland.

On January 26, 2025, Swalwell commented on sports officiating with a hint of humor: "Not seeing any of today’s officiating crew on the injury report. Chiefs likely favored."

The following day, January 27, 2025, he addressed Holocaust remembrance: "Today, as we honor the memory of six million Jewish lives lost during the Holocaust and mark 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, we must recommit ourselves to fighting antisemitism, hate, and bigotry in all forms. #Neverforget is now."

Later that day on January 27th, he posted a cryptic remark about presidential priorities: "A morning scramble, to start his first full week as president, is not the focus on eggs we were promised."
