Rep. Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 14th district since 2013, has been vocal on social media about his political views and criticisms. His recent tweets address topics ranging from former President Donald Trump to issues concerning veterans and disabled children.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Swalwell tweeted about the prospect of former President Donald Trump running for a third term. He stated: "Let Trump run for a 3rd term! He is aging like milk now. 4 years from now he’ll be older than anyone you know, eating all his meals from a straw. Bring it!"

Later that day, at 21:05 UTC, Rep. Swalwell addressed veteran suicide prevention programs in another tweet: "If you end the Veterans Suicide Prevention program you support Veterans dying by suicide. Donald Trump supports Veteran suicide. Call it what it is."

In a subsequent tweet on January 28 at 22:04 UTC, Swalwell commented on federal funding for schools serving disabled children: "8 million disabled children benefit from federal funding to their schools. It’s a full-time job for every parent of a disabled child to fight for their kids’ education. Donald Trump and MAGA GOP in Congress just told every family they’re on their own."
