City of Martinez issued the following announcement on Dec. 26
For many of us, the holidays look different this year. To help make sure our seniors still had a chance to receive a homemade traditional meal, the Martinez Senior Center collaborated with Loaves and Fishes on Sunday, December 20th to provide a catered meal prepared by chef Carissa Crader. The free meal included a stuffed pork loin, garlic mashed potatoes, cauliflower, bread and dessert. A total of 75 meals were handed out curbside and also delivered to homebound seniors. Senior participants appreciated and enjoyed the holiday meal and look forward to more opportunities like this. The Senior Center and Loaves and Fishes are eager to continue this strong partnership and offer more home cooked meals to the senior community in the New Year.
