Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 14th district since 2013, recently took to social media to express his views on the activities and performance of former President Donald Trump. Swalwell has been vocal in his criticism of Trump's actions, particularly concerning his recent visit to the South and the incidents involving airplane crashes during Trump's presidency.

On February 17, 2025, Swalwell commented on Trump's trip to the South. He noted that "Trump went to the South this weekend. Not to visit flood victims in Kentucky, but to have his security drive him around a race track." Swalwell further accused Trump of being indifferent to public needs, stating that "He doesn’t give a shit about you or your needs. He’s on a vanity tour for the next four years."

In another post from February 17, 2025, Swalwell pointed out aviation safety issues under Trump's administration by asserting that "No president has had more planes crash in their first month in office than Donald Trump."

Continuing with this theme on February 18, 2025, Swalwell raised questions about accountability for these incidents. He remarked that "Since 2009, how many American airliners crashed before Trump came into office? ZERO." He further questioned when Trump would begin taking responsibility for such events.
