2023 High School Graduates Invited to Apply for the Don Biddle Memorial Scholarship

Team Dublin, a community service committee of City employees and contracted staff, invites all graduating high school seniors in Dublin to apply for a $1,000 college scholarship. Applicants must plan on attending a college or vocational school in Fall 2023.

The Don Biddle Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor longtime public servant Don Biddle, who served the Dublin community in various capacities for over 40 years, including the Dublin City Council, from 2008 until his death in 2018. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior who demonstrates high scholarship and civic leadership through volunteerism or public service work, and who is interested in pursuing a career in public service. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Resident of Dublin, CA.

•Commitment to a career in Public Service.

•A high school student graduating in 2023, who is attending a Dublin public, private, or homeschool, with plans to attend a college or vocational school in Fall 2023.

The deadline to complete the application is Friday, April 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.  

Applications can be emailed to shari.jackman@dublin.ca.gov, or mailed to or dropped off at the City of Dublin City Manager's Office at 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, CA  94568.  Final selection will be announced on Friday, April 28, 2023.  Recipient will be notified by phone and an official letter will follow in the mail.
