Rep. Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 14th District, has expressed strong opinions on social media regarding veterans' mental health services, social security, and an impeachment resolution. With a history of public service dating back to his graduation from the University of Maryland, Swalwell continues to address issues he finds pertinent to his constituents.

On March 31, 2025, Swalwell voiced his concerns over potential cuts to veterans' mental health services, emphasizing, "Over 14,600 veterans call CA-14 home. Gutting the mental health services they rely on is a disrespectful joke. I’ll keep fighting any cuts that put our veterans’ health at risk."

On April 1, 2025, Swalwell turned his attention to Social Security, stating, "Social Security isn’t a luxury. It’s a promise. And right now, it’s being quietly sabotaged under the guise of ‘modernization.’" He referenced an article by former Rep. Patrick Murphy for further insight.

Later that day, Swalwell criticized the motives behind an impeachment resolution, arguing in a tweet from April 1, 2025, "We’ve spent hours in a hearing over an impeachment resolution brought by a guy who didn’t even bother to show up. Not one witness supports it. Not one Republican defended it." Swalwell characterized the resolution as a political maneuver lacking substantive support.
