Eric Swalwell, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 14th district since 2013, recently shared his views on social media regarding current events and public figures. Born in Sac City, Iowa, Swalwell has served in Congress after replacing Pete Stark and resides in Livermore. His educational background includes a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

On March 7, 2025, Swalwell commented on an NBA game where Stephen Curry played against Brooklyn. He tweeted: "Night night Damn. @StephenCurry30 closes out Brooklyn."

Later that day, Swalwell expressed concerns about economic promises made by former President Trump and his Treasury Secretary's statements. He remarked: "Oh shit. Trump promised a Golden Age. His Treasury Secretary promises a Golden Detox. We are headed into a Trump Slump."

In another post on March 7, 2025, Swalwell reflected on everyday struggles faced by consumers due to rising prices while criticizing Trump's leisure activities. He stated: "Instead of being on the golf course, Trump should be in a grocery store... You ever see a woman - looked like a mom from her grocery cart - pick something off the shelf, look at the price, and put it back? Is there anything more heartbreaking?"
