Eric Swalwell, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 14th district since 2013, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Swalwell, who succeeded Pete Stark in Congress and resides in Livermore, California, holds a BA and JD from the University of Maryland.

On March 11, 2025, Swalwell addressed concerns about Tesla's stock performance. He remarked on Twitter: "In the East Bay we are proud that Tesla makes their cars here. But we are saddened to see the stock price has crashed from $479 on Dec. 17 to $222 today. Elon’s duties are to his shareholders, not the Trump family."

Later that day, he emphasized the importance of cybersecurity as a national security issue. He tweeted: "Cybersecurity is national security. We need smart solutions—not red tape."

In another tweet posted on March 11, Swalwell voiced his opposition to proposed cuts to Social Security benefits by House Republicans. He stated: "There are 104,872 Social Security recipients in #CA14 who rely on $200 million in monthly benefits, and House Republicans want to gut it? Hell no! I won’t stand by while Republicans play games with your hard earned benefits."
